Embraced Body has worked with Accessibility Consultants C4AT and Ricardo Rodriguez to ensure our website, www.embracedbody.com, is accessible to disabled people. As we continue to evolve in our practices and our content, we will continue to make edits to the website and our accessibility practices.

MEASURES TO SUPPORT ACCESSIBILITY

Embraced Body takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of our website www.embracedbody.com:

CONFORMANCE STATUS

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Consulting ADC is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

We also added the Userway widget to provide additional options for disabled people to engage with the content of the website.

  • HTML

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

LIMITATIONS AND ALTERNATIVES

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Embraced Body , there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for Embraced Body:

  1. Aria labels are available for most but not all buttons and links on the site. Where unavailable, buttons text has been lengthened to be as clear and descriptive as possible.

  2. The skip to content feature may appear to function  differently compared to the same implementation on other websites. When you activate the skip to main content the focus will be moved to the first Header beneath the navigation bar. On mobile, when using a screen reader this is easily noticed however, desktop users may not notice a difference depending on the size of their screen as the header may naturally be displayed on their monitor.

  3. The focus order for the footer is unable to be updated so while the tab order  does not follow the rest of the website every item in the footer is able to be accessed via keyboard navigation.
